finals

Finals is this week, and i thought i should give my overall idea of intro to computer arts. Hmmmmm.... lots to say... lots and lots.... I learned how to use Photoshops, illustrator, indesign, dreamwearver, and how to make my own website just to name a few things. Photoshops is useful when warping images or just a touch-ups on pictures. Illustrator is quite helpful when trying to create clean lines and smooth quality artwork. Indesign makes it easy to create a book-like-format. Dreamweaver simplifies codes that are necessary to create websites. Hmmm... its like i scratched the surface.... but i guess if your interested you can look any of those programs from Adobe and check it out. Hope you like it.

Dreamweaver

So I'm learning a bit about Dreamweaver... Its really hard because I don't know much about manufacturing anything online that isn't manufacture already, like myspace.com or facebook.com. Everything online has a code in order to run properly. Some codes are harder than others, and if there are flaws in the code then the code doesn't function and you get error icons, which means that there is a lost connection. So that means that if you want to create your own website, then you need to know all there is to know about online code and placing folder in the right places, or... use Dreamweaver to do it for you. Dreamweaver doesn't created miracles, but it does help simplify how to create your own code in order to run your website. This is basically the idea I've gotten so far. I know that it's not a lot, but i think its a start. Ill be looking forward to learning more and updating my concepts. :p

Updates On Caricatures

Well a friend of mine has told me about a blog... its basically a group of caricature artist from sea world. I gotta admit, these guys are really good at exaggerations. I mean not only do they have the line quality down, but they also apply a great definition of color. I can there a lot of these artist have been doing caricature for years upon years. I hope you guy take the time to look at most of the doodles. c:

Creating a story in Indesign

What can I say other than I'm doing a new project. I'm using Indesing to create a book-like tutorial on how to draw anime. It may sound complicated but its actually pretty easy. Since the program is manufacture by adobe, it share many similar tools as the other programs I've used. The pen tool is still there, the layer tool, the type tool and many many more. It also make is pretty easy to import images that are in Photoshop or Illustrator. There is a new tool that I'm trying to get use to, its called the Master tool. Since Indesign is all about creating multiple pages, you can use the Master tool to make a base structure to every one of your pages so you can add pics or words that will be applied on the same area of all you pages. There are a few flaw to the Master tool for example: it cant add pic box that works individually to every page to add a pic, and it doesn't keep track of the numbering so you have to do it manually, but I use it as a frame for all my pages. I'm looking forward to what I can do with all these programs I've learned so far, but for now i think Ima go to sleep.

end of springbreak

The time has arrived, and spring break is finally over. Damn.... well I had no regrets, and no accomplishment either. In most of my time I simply stayed home and watched T.V., ate junk food, went to the arcade, and hung out with friends which lead to the same cycle. There were a few times where I worked, but in most cases, it was a loooong and chillax time. In relation to art, I didn't do much other than draw online with some friends and hung out with friends to draw. In both cases, I didn't learn much other than what i knew before. Although hanging out with friends wasn't successful in relation to learning, it has been therapeutic on the matter that i was able to enjoy myself. Now that I'm all refreshed, and I am ready to handle the rest of my class sessions. all I have to say to school is  BRING IT ON....

springbreak

Its spring break for my school next week and Ive been studying the body structure. I haven't really been studying much about the tools in photoshop, but I have been using my tablet to sketch in photoshop. I'm  Just taking time to put simple layers down and using the brush tool to make simple strokes. The pressure is usually set on mid, the color mode is set on RGB, resolution is 300 pixels per square inch, and the paper size is standard U.S. paper. Nothing fancy, just enough to get crakin on some doodles. I usually start with three layer: layer 0 is painted completely white, layer 1 is where i pre-sketch, and layer 2 is where I finally draw. Once I got a good drawing planned out, I use layer 1 to start to color. If I'm just drawing for fun, layer 1 will have all my base colors, my shadows, lights, and every other color. But if i want to have a complicated artwork, I tend to have a dozens layers, all with special purposes, like one layer for just the background and another for just the base color of hair. For now I'm just drawing simple stuff; a torso here, a face there, many feet everywhere. After a few days I'll get serious again but for meanwhile I'm just having fun. Hope everyone's spring break is going down nicely too. Catch you on the flip side C:  ...
